Collection: British Graham Land Expedition 1934-37
Summary text: An expedition member stands at the driving handle of a laden sledge being pulled by a harnessed sled dog team towards the sailing ship ‘Penola’ which lies in the ice. Another expedition member stands next to a large wooden crate loaded on a sledge, a harnessed sled dog team stands in front of the sledge. They stand near to the ship. A third expedition member attaches wooden boxes to a rope which hangs from the yard of the ship.
